Rocking Room 8 Supply List

Welcome to Second Grade! These are the supplies we will use this year. Parents, please remember that students need to have their school supplies replenished throughout the year. A good rule of thumb is to send them in with new supplies after each of their vacations (Christmas, February and April).

1. extra No. 2 pencils                       

2. a package of good pencil tip erasers        

3. a package of glue sticks    

4. a package each of colored pencils and 24 count crayons            

5. a box of Kleenex for the class

6. a couple of their favorite books to read the first couple of days of school

7. a good pair of kid's pointed scissors

8. 2 highlighters (not markers)

9. lunch money or a bagged lunch

10. a snack for 2nd recess (2:40 PM)

Don't worry about getting a pencil box. I will supply your child's pencil box. They only have small cubbies to put their supplies in and large pencil boxes don't fit.

During the school year we use a lot of the following items in the classroom.  If you can donate some of these items during the year, it would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

  - Hand Sanitizer            

  - Lysol Disinfecting Wipes

  - Zip Lock Baggies (both quart & gallon sizes)    

  - Kleenex (we go through about 2- 3 boxes a week during cold & allergy season)
