Hello Parents,

    I believe a Home-School connection is essential to the well-being of our children.  So this year, I would like to invite you to volunteer in Room 10.  We will start with Read Alouds and activities that go along with our monthly themes.  For example, September- apples/Johnny Appleseed/Fall.  Books on the given theme will be read by parent volunteer and then an activity will be completed.  This could be an art project, writing project, making of applesauce or any other fall treat, etc... This will be a collaborative effort by us so I will be there to assist you with the book choice, activity, and the planning.

    I would like to do this once a month.  I will set aside 1 hour to devote to this time.  The days will vary based on the volunteer's schedule as well as Room 10's.  I am hoping to begin the 3rd week in September.  Parents who wish to volunteer need to have a CORI check.  This may take a few weeks to go through so please do this early.  You will need to go to the Central Office located at the Junior High School to fill out a CORI.  I am so looking forward to working with all of you.
