Advisor
Scott Trahan

The Sachem” is the official yearbook of Agawam High School. One of the only high schools to have a full 9 x 12 collegiate style yearbook, it has won several awards for its outstanding content. Designated an elective class for students in their senior year, the yearbook offers students the opportunity to learn about issues in journalism; including the day-to-day operations of a running a small business. The staff is broken into several subcommittees including advertising, business, layout, literary, photography and sports. Students apply during their sophomore or junior year to be considered for the staff, and those wishing to be editors must submit a portfolio of work.

Official School Photographer

Agawam High School has contracted with Steinmetz Photography for student portraits. By having the senior portrait taken by the school’s photographer, the student can be assured that the portrait will be submitted by the deadline in the correct format and size for inclusion in this year’s senior section. Although another photographer may be used, the individual student is responsible for meeting all the photo specifications and deadlines. In addition, the quality of the printed photo in the yearbook cannot be guaranteed.

The basic session fee for a yearbook photo is $25, although many options are available. Seniors can make an appointment for a sitting by calling Steinmetz Photography at (413) 737-1400 or (888) 922-1400. All seniors must be photographed before the beginning of school.
