Our mission is to offer students resources for career development. Through career exploration, job shadowing, internships, community service activities, and employment, students will gain a more thorough understanding of their interests, abilities, values, skills and strengths .

Agawam students are required to complete Career Exploration Class, which provides a foundation for successful school-to-career transition. It is also required before students can participate in an internship. The Career Center builds on the knowledge students have learned and offers hands-on learning, a look at the world of work so they can gain information to make better decisions.

In partnership with the Agawam Chamber of Commerce, the Career Center hosts an annual High School Career Week in the fall, a Summer Job Fair in March and an 8th Grade Career Day at the Junior High. The Chamber also contributes over $5000 in scholarships to our graduating seniors each year.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the Career Center programs and opportunities. Students can stop in the Center to make an appointment to meet with Ms. Hunter.
