ADMINISTRATION IN POLICY ABSENCE

In cases when action must be taken within the school system where the Committee has provided no guides for administrative action, the Superintendent shall have the power to act.

His/her decisions, however, shall be subject to review by the Committee at its next regular meeting. It shall be the duty of the Superintendent to inform the Committee promptly of such action and his/her recommendations for policy addition and or revision.

It is recognized by both the Committee and the Superintendent that policies cannot be established for every situation. The Committee discussion of these issues may result with a decision not to adopt an additional policy nor to amend an existing one.
